Glimpses of the Mahashivratri Mahasatsang on 18th February 2023.

Mahashivratri is an auspicious occasion for spiritual seekers and devotees of Lord Shiva. In our festival loving country, the importance of Mahashivratri is unique. Sadguru Mangeshda Kriya Yoga Foundation celebrated Mahashivratri in Mumbai with great enthusiasm and fervour at Walia Hall in Andheri. After almost 3 years, Mahashivratri program was organized by the Foundation in offline mode. Therefore, disciples of H.H. Sadguru Yogiraj Dr. Mangeshda had gathered from many parts of India and abroad to hear His amritwani!

It was a beautiful evening in the divine presence of H.H. Sadguruji. The program started with melodious bhajans by the highly talented Kriyabans of the cultural wing of SMKYF. This was followed by a wonderful montage showcasing journey of revered Sadguruji and also the various activities and social causes carried out by Sadguru Mangeshda Kriya Yoga Foundation (SMKYF).

Revered Sadguruji in His Mahasatsang narrated the importance of Mahashivratri. He said, "The night which leads from darkness to the light of knowledge is the night of Mahashivratri! The night that turns ignorance into wisdom is Mahashivratri! Lord Shiva always gives us positive vibes and energy! What impressed the most about Bhagwan Shankara was His Bhasma and simplicity!"

He further said, "We become so emotional many times in our lives that we are not ready to accept that our body is mortal. We always hold on to our ego. This 'I' goes away only when the mortal body is destroyed. So it is our primary duty to take care of our body which is our temple. If you want to remove your ignorance, first of all you have to purify yourself. A person who bows down to Lord Shankara with this pious feeling will surely get whatever he asks."

He talked about the Kailash Manas Sarovar Yatra, the meaning of Yamadwar, Rakshas-sthal, the meaning of Life and Death, Spirituality and fear and many more aspects. He scientifically busted the superstitions and showed people the pathway to proceed on their Spiritual journey. In His speech, He cited His own life experiences. Mahashivratri was the day that turned His life around! He spoke extensively about social activities such as International Cleanliness drive from Mumbai to Kailas Manasarovar, registration of more than one crore people in ongoing eye donation awareness campaign- Eye Pledge We Pledge. He mentioned that we owe a lot to the society and hence He will soon announce a new social initiative. Namasmaran of 'Om Namah Shivaya!' was so powerful yet very soothing that it took everyone to a very deep level and the prayer and intention with belpatra was very intense. Those present could feel the vibrations and energy.

Hira Khanchandani was the master of ceremony and she enthralled the audience with her simple yet impactful language. The Mahasatsang was also covered on Facebook Live for seekers living outside Mumbai and across the globe! Another feature of the evening was distribution of special Rudraksha to the spiritual aspirants.
